The exclusive office building was entirely refurbished by Gmp in 2005.
The refurbishment was conceived by the same architects’ studio which originally designed the building. The studio reinterpreted the building, giving the exterior greater transparency, taking maximum advantage of natural light and reducing the acoustic impact.
Génova 27 has been awarded Platinum WiredScore certification, the highest level of this international standard. WiredScore certification measures the connectivity and quality of the telecommunications infrastructure in buildings and assesses five key categories: resiliency of infrastructure, tenant digital experience, fiber availability, future-proof design and mobile phone coverage.
Building with Gold LEED sustainability certification in the Existing Building category and with WELL Health-Safety Rating certification.
WELL Health-Safety Rating was created based on feedback from the COVID-19 Task Force at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This certification process entails an evidence-based adoption and monitoring of a plan of measures to assure that the operation and maintenance of the building complies with health and safety standards required by the rating in the current COVID-19 global health crisis and in the long term.
In 2003, Génova 27 received a Special Mention in the 3rd Edition of the Gaceta de los Negocios Real Estate Awards in the property refurbishment category. In 2006, the building received the Honorable Mention for "Best Light Facade" at the Veteco-Asefave Awards.
