Building by architect Ricardo Bastida declared by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Community of Madrid as an Asset of Cultural Interest in the category of monument.
Its beautiful facade, with sculptures by Quintín de la Torre and two monumental chariots that crown both towers of the building, made in bronze by Higinio de Basterra. Also worthy of special attention are the mastery of the stained-glass windows and murals of its central rotunda by Aurelio Arteta. Between 1975 and 1981, the architect Pedro Bidagor Lasarte extended the building along calle de Sevilla, following the architectural plans for the original building and its main façade. It was completely renovated in 2001.
