This exclusive office building was completely renovated by Gmp in 2017.
This renovation project was carried out by the acclaimed international practice, luis vidal + arquitects, which completely transformed the original building through a cutting-edge design which has made it a landmark in the Madrid cityscape.
The design of the façade not only aims to provide aesthetic appeal but also efficiency and sustainability, by incorporating slats that protect it from direct sunlight. The slats can be illuminated at night which enhances the building’s prominence in its surroundings.
It has the highest level of sustainable LEED certification, Platinum, WELL Gold certification, Brain-Protected Space certification, SmartScore Gold, WiredScore Platinum and top 5-stars AIS accessibility certification (Accessibility Indicator System). It was also a pioneer in obtaining WELL Health-Safety Rating certification.
Castellana 77 received the award for Best Office Architecture in Spain 2017-2018 at the European Property Awards Architecture and a Special Mention in Architecture at the German Design Awards 2019.
The building enjoys a privileged location in the financial centre of AZCA. Its surroundings offer a wide range of services, shops and restaurants and it has excellent connections to the public transport network.
