En el marco de su Sistema de Gestión Ambiental, Gmp define anualmente objetivos asociados a la gestión de la energía, consumo de agua y generación de residuos.

One of the strategic pillars of our business vision is our commitment to sustainable and efficient building management to help mitigate the adverse effects of climate change, minimise negative impacts on the environment and promote good environmental practices.

We demonstrate this commitment by applying an Environmental Management System certified with the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015 standard aimed at:

Protecting the environment and minimising the impact of Gmp’s activities.
Maximizing the well-being of the buildings’ occupants.
Encouraging and promoting sustainable environmental management among employees, clients and suppliers.

Within the framework of the Environmental Management System, at Gmp we set annual targets associated with the management of energy, water consumption and waste generation. The following actions stand out in this area:

Acquisition of 100% of electrical energy from renewable sources, both for our corporate headquarters and for the common and private areas of the buildings we directly control.
Substitution of traditional halogen lighting for LED lighting in the communal areas of the buildings and in the refurbishments we carry out in private offices.
Implementation of a comprehensive action plan to improve air quality in all buildings. In addition to the obvious benefit for the health and well-being of users, the plan provides significant savings in energy consumption.
Strict monitoring of energy and water consumption, control of gas emissions into the atmosphere and calculation of the carbon footprint in all buildings.
Implementation of a waste management system, both for waste generated by clients and waste from the building’s own activities.
Installation of presence detectors or timers for toilet lighting.
Publicity campaigns on the rational use of energy and water in communal areas.

Installation of energy sources in buildings

In accordance with our Decarbonisation Plan, we are installing photovoltaic panels in several of our buildings as beneficiaries of direct grants to install renewable energy sources, pursuant to Royal Decree-Law 29/2021, of 21 December, within the framework of Spain’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, which is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and processed through the Madrid Regional Government’s (CAM) Energy Foundation.
